Windows Live Tuner: Free Tool To Quickly Speed Up Windows

One of the best things about Windows operating system, unlike other computer operating systems, is that there are plenty of free tools out there to tweak, customize, and fine-tune the operating system. Earlier this week, we posted about the 15 free tools tweak and customize Windows 8.1 version. When it comes to tuning Windows operating system for performance, there are a couple of things a user can manually perform to speed up the PC. Even though manually optimizing Windows isn’t a very straight-forward job, users who’re using Windows for years can easily speed up Windows by turning off visual effects, disabling unwanted features, stopping services, and disabling unnecessary startup programs. To help novice users and users who don’t want to manually tune-up the system for performance, quite a few tools have been released over the years and most of them are free. Tune Up Utilities (paid), Advanced System Care (free), and Glary Utilities are some of the popular Windows cleaning and tuning tools. For users who’re looking for a simple yet powerful tool to speed up Windows, here is a tool called Windows Live Tuner from the developer of OS X Mavericks Transformation Pack and UXTheme Multi-Patcher. According to the developer, it includes optimizations for Solid State Drive, disables autorun on XP, reduces shut down time, includes CPU optimizations, includes memory optimizations, registry optimizations, and also application optimizations. Speeding up your Windows computer with Windows Live Tuner is an easy job, even if you’re a novice user. Download the software (download link available at the end of this article), run Windows Live Tuner (it’s portable), select your device (desktop, laptop, or tablet), select application optimization and then click Optimize button. Once done, you’ll be asked to perform a restart. Launch the software again, select application and device optimization, select additional optimizations, and then click Optimize button. Please note that Windows Live Tuner is currently in Beta stage. We recommend you create a system restore point before running this tool. NOTE: You might want to disable “Set Windows X’s Live As default homepage” option located bottom left before clicking the Optimize button to avoid changing your browser’s homepage.
