Windows 8.1 RTM Available To TechNet And MSDN Subscribers Now

A couple of days ago Microsoft had said that both MSDN and TechNet subscribers would have to wait until October 17 to download the RTM copy of Windows 8.1 operating system. It turns out that after harsh criticism from MSDN and TechNet subscribers, Microsoft has finally changed its decision for good. The good news is that Microsoft has just made available for download Windows 8.1 RTM and Server 2012 R2 RTM to MSDN and TechNet subscribers. That means, if you have a TechNet or MSDN subscription, you can download Windows 8.1 RTM and Windows Server 2012 R2 RTM operating systems right away without having to wait for the scheduled public release in October. If you have been closely following Microsoft for the past couple weeks, you probably have heard about the leak of Windows 8.1 RTM as well as Windows RT 8.1 RTM. While many users have already running the leaked copy of Windows 8.1 RTM, at least some users can now legally download and install the RTM copy.
